Denver area fireworks

There are so many great 4th of July celebrations happening in the Denver area that it can be hard to choose which one to go to! Here’s all you need to know about where to find the best fireworks near you.

City Park, Westminster, July 4th

Food and beer vendors, kids’ activities, and performances start at 4 p.m. Concert featuring Rockslide begins at 7 p.m. and the fireworks go off at approximately 9:15 p.m. There will be a FREE shuttle bus from many locations in Westminster!

Broomfield County Commons Park, Broomfield, July 4th

The city and county of Broomfield will host its annual Great American Picnic on Thursday, July 4. Activities start and concessions open at 5 p.m. with the bike parade kicking off at 5:30 p.m. The parade is for people of all ages and kids are required to wear a helmet! Activities include: pony/burro rides, inflatables, face painting and balloon twisting. Take part in the beer garden, food vendors, music and more. Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m.

Colorado Rapids FourthFest, Commerce City, July 4th

The celebration begins at 5 p.m. and features a free community festival outside the stadium and live music before the Rapids battle the New England Revolution at 7 p.m. Kid’s activities, entertainers, mechanical bull, inflatables, face painting, obstacle course, toddler zone, pedal carts, human foosball and more. After the Rapids match is complete, the night will finish with the largest public fireworks show in Colorado with music from DJ Jen Jones. Tickets are available via AltitudeTickets.com.  

Independence Eve Celebration, Civic Center Park, Denver, July 3rd

The 10th annual Independence Eve celebration will be held at Civic Center Park downtown. Gates open at 4 p.m. There will be vendors with food, beer and wine. Musical performances begin at 5 p.m. Light show and fireworks begin about 9:30 p.m.

Ralphie’s Independence Day Blast, Folsom Field Boulder, July 4th

Gates open at 7:45 p.m., entertainment begins at 8:30 p.m. and the fireworks show begins as soon as it’s dark, around 9:35 p.m.

Broncos Stadium at Mile High, Denver, July 4th

The Mile High Fourth of July fireworks display is launched from inside the stadium bowl. The Denver Outlaws game against the Chesapeake Bayhawks starts at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $15 and can be purchased online at DenverOutlaws.com.

Waneka Lake, Lafayette, July 4th

The celebration takes place from 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. There will be food, a beer, cider and wine garden, kids activities and more. Fireworks begin at dusk.

Coal Creek Golf Course, Louisville, July 4th

The celebration includes live music, bounce houses, games, food trucks, face painting, free balloon twisting and more. The fireworks show begins at dark, or approximately 9:30 p.m.

Northglenn, July 4th

The celebration at E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park starts at 7 a.m. with a pancake breakfast followed by a car show, parade, live music and more. The fireworks show will begin no earlier than 9 p.m. and no later than 10 p.m.

Carpenter Park Fields, Thornton, July 4th

The event begins at 4 p.m. It includes beer gardens, food vendors and live performances. At 9:30 p.m., a nighttime parachutists jump will take place. The fireworks show will start after the jump.
